“Healing Path”

This commission was designed to transform a rooftop space in a CHI Memorial hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
I worked with the art therapist on staff at the hospital to envision a walkway mural for the facility that serves as a healing artwork. The overall space and walking path serves as an interactive healing resource for patients, family, and staff. The color spectrum and six symbols represent hope, faith, courage, support empower, and harmony. The rooftop had 765 2x2ft square tiles. Every tile was swept, pressure washed, and painted. A walking pathway was established and symbols were painted to indicate the healing path. The last installation was an interior artwork which was installed just inside the hospital hallway across from the rooftop. The interior work is titled “Visions of Support”
